I definitely love music. I'm using the word 'love' here. It's a passion. Maybe a sickness or an obsession. When the groove gets happy, the air inside me shivers and shakes, tingles. I like to be surounding the magic as it happens. That's a rare thing, but it's my purpose in life.
Here's some music that's been created inside me :
Movies
Spinal Tap and That Thing You Do.
Heroes
Les Paul invented multitrack recording and the electric guitar... in WISCONSIN. That makes him a hero in my book.
I am home to many vintage, analog, and vibey pieces of gear... this allows layers of grease or dirt to be added to anything you might want to record.
The guys who work inside my walls also have lots of software and whiz-bang-gizmos to make things ultra clean (or "perfect"). For a full list of equipment, check our blog.
I've got 14' ceilings, a fancy espresso machine, snacks, drinks, plenty of free parking, great restaurants right nearby, cool looking microphones, the latest software, pristine digital convertors, the hi-dollar custom cabling, top-notch acoustic design, stratospheric sample rates, and on and on and on... but really, shouldn't it be more about people and ears, inspiration and soul, music and groove?
Come check me out. I'm unlike any other studio you've ever been over-charged for.
Chester French just recorded some horn overdubs for their new Star Trak debut... check 'em out and add to your pals here on myspace :

The new Maritime record was recorded earlier this year in Studio A... it's called "Heresy and the Hotel Choir" and it comes out this October.

Who I'd like to meet: People who make music and want to be inspired, creative, and soulful. Or an acoustician/studio designer... I'm looking to expand again.
