BURY OUR OWN, formed in September 2004, playws a blend of modern metal that was catchy and heavy. The band shared the stage with Bleeding Through, Cult of Luna, Himsa, Three Inches of Blood, Darkest Hour, Dead to Fall, Cephalic Carnage, Parkway Drive, Bridge to Solace, Your Eyes My Dreams, Catherine, and My Children My Bride
We are sorry to announce that in January 2007, Bury Our Own made the decision to disband. For almost 3 years, this band has been the pinnacle of most of our lives, and we regret to have to do this. There were some internal issues with the band, and we were not hitting the benchmarks of success that we had hoped to.
Without label interest, it's very difficult for a band to stay afloat. We shopped ourselves out numerous times, after every recording, did a little touring, and still had no labels writing us back.
We have a lot to show for the time we've spent together. Huge improvement, tons of shows, played with some of our favorite bands, self-released a professional looking and sounding EP, printed and sold loads of T-shirts, hoodies, and pins, and made a lot of great friends along the way.
We've had 11 people play in this band since our inception, and each of their involvements was extremely important to moving us forward to where we ended today.
"What will you be doing now?" you might ask.
Stephen (vocals) moved up to his grandparents in NJ, and is working at a New York law firm. He will be attending the University of Miami in the fall studying International Finance.
Alex (bass) will be doing some traveling in the coming months, and will end up at Oklahoma State University studying Marketing. He plans on joining a band when he gets there, so stayed tuned for that.
Tony (guitar) has joined the band "A Well Thought Tragedy" out of Philly as a fill-in guitarist, and will be on tour with them in late April. After that, he will be going to college in Florida, although the school is undecided as of now.
Joe (drums) is working full-time, has a beautiful kid, and is moving in with his girlfriend. He has a few music side projects that he is working on now.

i cant still cant belive it :( you guys were such an amazing and talented band! it sucks things werent working out as you all had hoped. i wish they did. i wish i had the chance to see you guys live!haha. your music was and still is fucking GREAT!! glad to own your e.p. :) i wish you all the best of luck with all your future plans. take care
