IRON BRIDGE / MELTED HEARTS FIRST REVIEW
Well i got a tape on Tapeclub Records by Travlin Jephson & the Cardboard Man. ’Iron Bridge’ is the first track ft. a certain Count Cacolac. Liking this soulful folksie offering that grows into a large phat epic anthem. The ’flip’ ’Melted hearts’ is more twinkling, wistful gear that once again explodes into a kinda hazy early SFA imbued gem, all richocheting guitars, heartfelt lyrics & solid playful drums underlaid with some giddy piano abandonment. The better of two solid tracks, all i can say is there’s a mystery guest singer on this tape from a much more well known band, making this cassette limited to 100 quite a collectors item. I’m afraid we can’t reveal this said "mystery guest" but let’s just say he’s taken flight from his regular group......
