"Live" music in general, I've always liked the idea of envisaging an irish night down the pub drinking guinness,I also remember sitting in a Scottish Hotel Garden next to a loch listening ten feet away from a fantastic accodion folk rock band in an inspiring location with drink in hand, it was great.I think acoustic music is a bit more soulfull and intimate compared to loud electronic stuff.......................
You cannot beat the atmosphere acoustic music creates if you have the right setting and an interesting selection of acts youre onto a winner. Oh yeah your presence is also required .................

Musical Mini Fest
In the Garden of Haslemere Museum 11/08/07
We had a great afternoon in the very tranquil setting of the Museum’s garden
the weather was fantastic “almost too hot would you believe” picnics and wine enjoyed by all.
All the musicians had a great reception from the audience, myself and the museum were really
pleased with the response received from everyone, makes it all worthwhile.
I’d like to say thanks to all the volunteers and staff at the museum and of course the following
musicians = Vic Cracknell, Charlotte Woodman Mark Buck and friends, The Free Radicals, Ben Fawson,
Rupert Oxlade (couldn’t of done it without you Ru), Matt Dowden on the Bongo’s, and Civilzed Tears.
Not sure how much money we raised at present but I believe we had over 200 people through the doors.
Hi Mike, Just wanted to show you a review of The Busk Factor. I hope you don't mind, you're mentioned in it - as they asked what the influences of the event were. http://www.theboydone.blogspot.com/ Take care, Siobhan
