Busted Brix is an eight-piece horn rock/ska band from the Vergennes and Bristol areas of Vermont. Forming in the spring of 2008 to play at a school dance, the octet has since evolved to begin writing its own music and continues to play shows around the state. While the group ranges stylistically from melodic indie rock to mindless punk and catchy ska, the powerful three-piece horn section consistently drives its material. Upbeat keys and energetic guitar riffs complement intricate horn harmonies, coupled with solid drums and bass, to generate the band’s distinctive flavor of rock, ska, and punk. Completing the band’s sound, its vocals and lyrics feature levels of musicality and depth quite uncharacteristic of ska and punk. Using the endless possibilities provided by maintaining such an immense instrumentation, Busted Brix tears up the stage with the power of their music alone.
After winning a state-wide battle of the bands contest at TeenFest VT 2008, the group used their generous cash prize to build a small studio in a barn and is currently recording their debut EP, to be released this summer.

Hey! Your music is amazing! I saw you at my "daddy's" new voices show. lol. I also went and saw you guys at Higher Ground. Let me just say, you guys were the best band there! I love how you have sooo much energy when you are performing.
