I enjoy hearing any good music which is played well, it doesn't matter what style/genre it is.
If I had to try and define my playing stlye I would probably say, fundamentally jazz with a definite leaning towards latin and "world" music. I like to play things that really swing or groove, but also have plenty of room for improvisation and dialogue between the musicians.
I am always inspired and influenced by the people I play with, as well as my musical heroes. Some of these that immediately come to mind are...
Miles Davis, Jimmy Smith, Clifford Brown, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, Roland Kirk, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, Dr John, Trilok Gurtu, Airto Moreira, Tania Maria, Stevie Wonder.
