Performing since the tender age of 4, Buster B Jones and his guitar have travelled the globe. Buster says he passes out memories and collects smiles. I love my job.
In 1988 Buster won the Guitar Player Magazines International Guitar contest, netting him his first gold record. In 1992, he won the National Fingerstyle contest in Winfield, Kansas. Buster B's first real touring job in the music business was working for Thom Bresh (the Boss) as a driver/mechanic/guitar tech. After a short time Bresh decided to share Jones with the world, giving him appearances all over the US and then recording a CD together.
Since then, Buster B has gone on to tour and/or perform with some of the best the music business has to offer, in virtually every style. Players such as Tommy Emmanuel, Brent Mason, Johnny Highland, Larry Corrial, Tony Rice and, of course, the legendary Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. He has opened shows for such people as Allison Krause and Union Station, Little Feat, Doc Watson, Steve Warner and Princes band. If you ask Buster, he will tell you he is happiest on stage with his former "Boss" Thom Bresh and his young protege Brooks Robertson.
Jones has proven to the world he is one of the finest guitarists in the world and to be one of the finest teachers, as well.
We hope you enjoy him as much as he enjoys you.
