Alrighty then.. Sooo to cut to the point.. I'm a singer, songwriter, double bass/ electric bass player, muddler of other instruments, composer and producer. If you want to know a little more read on... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I'm a Dorset boy at heart.. as soon as i see the rolling hills i feel at home (ahh). I was lucky enough to be born in to a musical family and have been tinkering around on various instruments from as early as i can remember. I started playing bass guitar in my first band when i was 15.. and that's pretty much what i've been doing ever since! It's been a fairly twisting kind of musical journey to get where i am now.. I've always loved listening, playing and writing different styles of music and i'm easily side tracked.. I'm not very good at sticking to the master plan.. in fact i've never had a master plan.. .. hmmm.. ponder .. Along the way i have studied jazz, contemporary classical composition and picked up a music degree. I then bit the bullet and made music a career, working as a session bass player for (amongst others) Vanessa Mae, Emma Bunton, Daniel Beddingfield, Shelly Poole, The Infadels and most recently i have recorded double bass on Lou Rhodes (singer from Lamb) Mercury Music Prize 2006 nominated album 'Beloved One'.
As well as the 'session' thang i also compose and produce music for TV and adverts, including worldwide campaigns for BMW, Mini, and a short film for Audi directed by Wim Wender (him of Paris Texas fame)..
When not being a mercenary musician, I can be found playing in Brighton with my bro's and heros in The Hat and The Big Hairy Band (among other bits n pieces).. and when i can't be found, i'm at my home studio writing and recording songs, or i'm out with My Girl walking the dog.. all of which fills me with immense joy! .. I'm currently working on an album of my own songs, one of which ('Carry On') has just been released as a single in The Netherlands having been used on a T-Mobile advert.. check it out here then GO BUY IT AT I-TUNES !!!
