Butcher the Song is the latest evolution of a solo project started by Malcolm Wright during his freshman year of high school. At first using the name Sub-Section Q and keeping things pretty much under wraps, Malcolm honed his songwriting and recording skills over the years of high school...he still works at both. Recently the name of this on-and-off solo project was changed from Sub-Section Q. Mainly as a means to present a more mature image.
Enough with the third person foolishness. I'm Malcolm, i write songs, i sometimes record those songs when i have the house to myself. At the end of the day i'm just looking eo express myself and have a little fun. Thanks for listening and your support. I like playing music for people.

please come watch us play at Singleton on Aug 29th! there were over 500 people at last years POPfest so we expect a great turn out once again. we hope to see you there! ps, we'll be full band = ]
i tried posting a flyer for the show, but for some reason it wouldn't work. so instead, here's a sample of what we'll be playing.
Open your eyes is here to help bring hope back into people's hearts and minds. We're here to listen to your story. We're here to understand, love, and help. We're here to listen, scream, cry, laugh, hold, and to care. We hope that you find love and hope in your hearts at some point in your life and are able to take in the air you breathe and appreciate every last breath. We want to end the suffering and fill every last beating heart with hope.
Let's share our stories, let's scream them out with all that we have. Let's forget the pain we have endured and remember all of the love we have felt. If you find yourself losing hope remember the ones that care, the ones that truly love you even if it doesn't seem like it half the time. Do not lose hope. You have one story to tell, one journey to wonder on.
If you ever need to talk to someone we're here. We wont judge, I promise:)
Peace,
love,
and happiness,
-Kaci
