    At Butch N Nellie's we pride ourselves on serving quality Equator coffee and a variety of delicious Stash teas. We are interested in providing a welcoming place for the full range of Sacramento's diverse community. We are always interested in providing a venue for local artists and musicians to showcase original works, and in working with other groups and businesses in the area to support local and women-owned Sacramento businesses.

  • Music

    Our taste in music is as eclectic as our staff. Come listen to everything from Janis Joplin, The Scissor Sisters, Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Marilyn Manson, Tegan and Sara, The Gossip, The Faint, The Supremes and anything in between. We are also proud to provide aspiring songwriters, singers, and poets the opportunity to share their work at our live, open mic shows on Saturday nights, as well as booking individual acts on Thursday and Friday nights. .. Butch'n'Nellies is the product of 3 powerful women tired of the corporate coffee takeover. They had a vision of an independently owned coffeeshop in the Downtown/Midtown Sacramento area that would provide a unique meeting place for local businesspeople, a friendly atmosphere for Sacramento's queer community and midtown residents, and a venue for local musicians to perform original music. After a year of planning, ordering, and remodeling...Butch N Nellies officially opened on Memorial Day of 2005. and has been proudly serving Sacramento's diverse population ever since. Proudly brewing Fair Trade coffee with your choice of flavors to make your drink uniquely yours. We have many specialty coffee and tea drinks to tempt your palate.

 Come Check out our Rhythm N Rhymes Show starting at 7pm every First Saturday of the month! $5 cover gets you in to the show. Express yourself with our musical and open mic features. Every Second Saturday we are part of Sacramento's Art Walk, with new original artworks displayed every month. Our Live N Direct show, featuring open mic and live performances, takes place in our back parking lot. Enjoy some live music before or after your gallery tour. No cover. Our Live N Direct shows take place every other Saturday as well, but in a slightly smaller version. There are still open mic sign ups and a feature artist. No cover!

Lunch and Dinner

Paninis......$6.95

Our paninis are made to order on rosemary focaccia bread. We start with garlic mayo and dijon mustard, then load up each panini with kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, and our mild pepperoncinis. We add your choice of turkey, ham or roasted red peppers and chedder, swiss or pepper jack cheeses, then toast to perfection on our grill. Or try one of our specialty paninis: Spicy Turkey, Tuna Melt or Pizza for lunch or dinner. If you prefer a lighter meal, try one of these delicious optins: 1/2 panini with an organic green side salad ..... $7.95 1/2 panini ......$5.00 Chicken Hand Pie .....$4.50 Spinach, Bacon and Potato Quiche .....$4.50

We also offer a free WiFi connection to your laptop with a purchase at our shop as well as a meeting room in the back for those times you need some privacy or have a group project to work with. The meeting room can be reserved for 2 hours at a time ABSOLUTELY FREE with a purchase from everyone in the group. Feel free to come check it out and see if it is available for your use.
