Sounds Like
A good opportunity to perform in front of a live audience and get yourself heard! Check out the video clip of resident band "Acousticrat" and some of the local performers who have called in to play at the Sunday Session in the slideshow
A weekly live music session hosted by Acousticrat. Every Sunday from 4.30pm till about 8.00pm, at the Victoria Hotel, Rothesay, Isle Of Bute. The Sunday Session is intended as a platform for local acoustic performers and singer-songwriters, though twice a month or so we feature touring acoustic acts. A full professional Bose PA system is provided, just turn up with your instruments. Sets willl be timed so mainland-based performers will be able to make the last ferry (the venue is less than 100yds from the Ferry landing) In some cases accomodation can be provided free of charge. All genres and styles of acoustic music are welcome at the Sunday Session. Solo performers, duos, trios or bands. We encourage acts who perform original or mostly original material, but if your set is made up of covers, that's OK too. Due to space restrictions we cannot accomodate bands using a full drum kit. Electric guitar/bass amps can be provided on request. Forthcoming special guests include: July 19th - Tim Wood. July 26th - RISE. August 2nd Jon Gomm. August 7th NICK HARPER IN CONCERT August 8th ANDY WHITE + Rise (At St Blane's Hotel)

Ah .... Compliments of this most joyous of seasons. As I sit in the quietitude of my study, my thoughts turn to the youth of our nation who are pressed... nay forced to imbibe of alcoholic libation 24 hours of the clock : wallowing in a pool of their own effluvia whilst Government and the exchequer grow fat at the expense of these poor young creatures..... but I indeed digress! Merry christmas my good friend. The Right Reverend Tristram Shandy-Drinker.
Tackety Boot at Betty Nicols feature night - 3rd December from 8pm. Acoustic Duo playing mainly home grown tunes with a comedic slant on many diverse subjects - outrageous and a great start to your festive season.
