Poetry, music, art,
Life, the human condition,
morality/immorality,
the fiction of people and the dance of relationships,
beer, coffee,
finding a community of under-minded individuals and starting a super secret (only by circumstance) society of the Enfant Terrible.
My pet peeve is hypocrites;
like people who hate Nazis
because Nazis love crackers and hate all other snackfoods.
I'm interested in the absurd
the contradictory, the beauty
looking people in the eye
Music
whatever is blowing down the house
or building whispers

i picked up Dead Man; loved it. very strange...but not in a way that's like, we're going to be weird for the sake of being weird. suprisingly comical as well, but my sense of humor is pretty warped.
Thanks for your kind words. I have some of your art on my wall -- you're the only LJ poet whose art is on my wall -- and looking at it made me wonder what the hell you were up to. Hang in there, homes...keep writing, let that be your salvation.
My debut novel, The Cuckoo Parchment and the Dyke, has just launched. If you get a chance I'd be grateful if you'd go to my profile to find out more. The story's about Dada, art and artists.
Never before has this been done, and hopefully it will be
successfully repeated after this all over the world, again and again….
Our aim is to bring together poets from all over, who
produce all genres of poetry for a night of mingling, poetry, shameless self
promotion…. Each poet will have the opportunity
to read their work on stage, sell their work to those who would like to buy,
and mingle with the best poets of our generation.
It will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 9 PM
And the owner of STUDIO PARK in Atlanta has been gracious
enough to open his doors to us without charging us ANYTHING!!!
You seriously CAN’T miss this~you HAVE to be there! It is the chance of the lifetime, and the
bigger we make it, the more attention we poets will get.
Poetry is NOT dead~let’s show the world that it is living
and breathing~
***BTW~we are looking for a talented DJ to spin between
reads~so if you have what it takes or know someone who does, please email me.
****ALL are welcome!
Whether you are a poet, or love poetry, we hope you will all come, tell
your friends about it, and your friends’ friends-blog it, bulletin it, email
it, scream about it from the rooftops~Whatever it takes!!!
