When I lost my mind I found my way

As if I were my problem all along.

The harder I fought, the harder the lessons I was taught.

My heart was so weak, but my head was too strong.


I found myself upset with the world

Because it didn’t see things as I see,

And in every direction I would point the blame

I’d find that three fingers would always point back at me.


If I’m upset with the me I’ve become

Why would I hold to my same frame of mind?

If I really want to change, then I can’t stay the same;

I must leave the old ways behind.


Insanity is running ‘round and ‘round in a circle,

Somehow thinking that it will suddenly go straight.

If I could see myself as we more so than I and me

A bigger, brighter picture would resonate.
