BUTTERFLY STITCH formed in 2001. We went under the name Baculum for 4 years until december 2005 when we decided to re-name ourselves.
We've been writing and performing for 6 years now and along the way we've played at some great places; Mean Fiddler, the Islington Academy, Upstairs at the Garage and the Borderline as well as having played both the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park and the Reading Festival in 2005. Reading was quality!
Including the new songs we've got for you to hear here on my space, our Debut Single "Flaunt It" Is Available On Limited Edition Numbered CD From Nabouchaka Music and as a digital download from Itunes.
Lately we've been getting some radio coverage on a number of uni stations including Swansea and Lancaster, so a big thanks to the cool DJ's spinning our tune!
We're also getting good coverage from Nokia on their Music Portal

'bout fucking time you put some new songs up... Oh yeah, also - good songs. Although, on 'Bus', your voice sounds a bit similar to the guy from The Kooks; TRY TO AVOID THAT.
Went to the Amersham Arms last week to see the band Shakey Jake and thought I would do the polite thing and stay at the front to watch the headline band do a few songs, then return to the bar. Ended up staying there for the whole set - til you 'Kicked out The Jams'.
heya lads, you and cam or some other frankenstein-esque mishmash of butterfly stitch don't wanna come on my show on the 12th of march to play a couple of acoustic songs do you?
otherwise it's not til mid april that we're on air cos of easter break
Hi. Sorry for this invasion of your space (and generic message). Just wanted to let you know about my LAST MINUTE SHOW @ The Fly, New Oxford Street, THIS SUNDAY!!! If you dont already have plans, it would be a pleasure to see you there. Thanks. Tom Allalone
hey guys loving the music. Question for agus here. Can u do slap bass on the rickenbacker? If so is it ok? Wot would be better a fender jazz bass or rickenbacker. Thanks, appreciate it.
Good luck with the band.
