Butterscotch is an internationally recognized vocal/beatbox artist, most popularly known from her appearance on NBC's "America's Got Talent" as a finalist. Ellen DeGenres was so impressed with her skills she invited Butterscotch to perform on her show where she amazed the crowd singing, playing the piano and beatboxing. Prior to America’s Got Talent, Butterscotch claimed titles as both the first International World Female Beatbox Champion and the West Coast Beatbox Champion for both genders. Butterscotch has made such an impact on young women, she was even the inspiration of a teenage girl to be transformed into a beatboxer on MTV’s MADE. Butterscotch made a guest appearance on the show giving the girl words of encouragement before she performed at her talent show. She was also included in Verizon's Beatbox Mixer along side beatboxing's best including Doug E Fresh, Biz Markie, Rahzel, Click, Scratch, Masai Electro and head of the Beatboxer Entertainment Kid Lucky. Butterscotch was featured on Tom Green's online show "The Channel", and is currently touring with Mike Patton's Peeping Tom and his newest project with Dan the Automator called Crudo. This summer Butterscotch received the honor to record with the legendary bass trio Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten on their album. She featured on their title track “Thunder” as well as the Miles Davis classic “Tutu” and group collaboration “Pendulum”. Butterscotch is also guest artist on the forthcoming George Benson project, “Songs & Stories” (Concord Records/Monster Music). Butterscotch is also a singer/songwriter/musician who incorporates beatboxing into her compositions with instruments she plays, including the piano, flute, saxophone, bass and guitar. She is heavily influenced by jazz, classical, hip hop and R&B artists ranging from Frederick Chopin to John Coltrane to Stevie Wonder. After high school she was accepted into the music program at California State University Sacramento as a Classical Piano Major but now is currently focusing on her music career outside of school. She hopes to return and create a Beatbox or Vocal Percussion Major.
