"VARGA Gallery launches bi-coastal event with 'Girlz of Zaetar' and “01 Gallery”
This Saturday, VARGA Gallery unveils “Art in the Time of Chaos: New Mosaics” featuring mixed media artist Kevin Postupack in a solo exhibition with a bi-coastal musical performance by “Girlz of Zaetar” happening in conjunction with the 01 Gallery in Los Angeles and the outdoor “Sun Ra Summer Solstice Festival" in Highland Park, California. Reception for Postupack’s solo exhibit “Art in the Time of Chaos: New Mosaics” is 5 – 7pm with “Girlz of Zaetar” performing non-stop from 6pm til closing in the VARGA Gallery. Postupack’s solo exhibit is on display through Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
Kevin Postupack is a psuedo-demented artist and the owner and founder of Kronos Gallery, a borderline anarchist art venture in Staunton, Virginia. Postupack’s website www. artisdangerous. com says it all and his work is underscored by a prevalent schism of Omniism. Says Postupack, “OMNIISM contends that the world is too multifarious a place to be reduced artistically into one or two marketable ideas or a so-called ‘style’. Omniism abhors artistic assembly lines, complacency and self-censorship. It joyously celebrates experimentation, risk-taking and fearlessness as essential parts of the process of creation. It is fueled by improvisation.”

There is a HOOK street team starting up. It will be for people to go out and promote HOOK. Get more people to shows, and put HOOK on the map as the number 1 band in Mid-MO. HOOK has the talent and the drive to make it, but we need a loyal following of fans who will push HOOK to the for front. Play demos to anyone who is in your general area, take HOOK songs and make you-tube videos with them. Make their profile songs, a HOOK song. Lets make everyone realize that HOOK is number 1. We are in the process of getting HOOK merchandise. We have tickets for sale, contact anyone in HOOK or on the myspace or on the Street Team Myspace. Lets make this the biggest turn out Twisterz has ever seen. The Tickets cost $8, it is $10 at the door without one. I am pretty sure that if HOOK wins the finals, we will open up at Freakers Ball. So tell all your friends, tell everybody, it's an all ages show, so everyone can come.
