A word about Buzz-Oven from 2000-2006:
In the 7 years since its inception, Buzz-Oven and its volunteers have distributed over 200,000 free CDs to teenagers all over North Texas and held over 75 All Ages concerts. It has been a joy to watch excited young people show devotion to spreading good new music to an audience that local bands have trouble reaching. We started with 12 motivated teenagers and grew to over 1,200. We've watched some Buzz-Oven bands go on to achieve incredible success and lamented the loss of others. We've made national headlines proving that a simple idea and teamwork can actually make a difference in a local music scene. I would like to thank every buzzer who came to the meetings, worked the concerts, passed out CDs and fliers, and most of all... supported local music. You are the reason good music exists.
