2004年、1st Demo CD ｢Catch a virgin girl in lie｣発売。
2005年、2nd Demo CD ｢es.タート｣発売、関東･東北レコ発ツアーを行う。
2006年1月、Rinky Dink Studio主催のオムニバスCD｢cookieleaf」に｢愚かな民｣で参加。
2006年12月、hy-alineと2マンライブを開催、140人を動員。
2007年8月17日、自主レーベル｢Cock Lobster Records｣を立ち上げ、8曲入り1st Album「ギブミー ア チョコレート」発売、全国レコ発ツアーを行う。
2005年より開催している「愚かな民」は2008年8月で9回目となり、2008年3月に行われたVol.7では、うつみようこGROUPとFox Loco Phantomをゲストに迎え、200人近い動員を記録した。
また2008年8月に行われたVol.9でも、sleepy.abとthe blondie plastic wagonをゲストに迎え、200人近い動員を記録した。
BYEE the ROUND is a band from Tokyo who are an active member of the
Shimokitazawa indies scene. BYEE the ROUND formed in August of 2003. After
a few member changes, the lineup was finally perfect since February, 2007
when takahashi Satoshiante joined the band as guitarist. The lyrics are all
in Japanese and the musical styles vary from genre to genre but feature
elements of progressive rock, garage punk, blues and many other genres.
Lyrical topics include lust, perversion, grave loss, resentment, disdain,
etc. Especially a prevalence of lyrics regarding the unavoidable aspects of
human society. The often derisive lyrics are a complement to Matsuyama's
(vocal) lyrical excellence. During a single song the rhythm often changes
quite unexpectedly with its unique bluesy sound while blending with a
beautiful melody or complete chaos. This bound my no rules song writing
produces a complex composition that can not be called your average song.
While there is a sense of urgency that pervades their live performances, the
improvisation they undertake blows away the audience. In 2004 they released
"Catch A Virgin Girl In Lie", their first demo CD to a limited edition of
500 copies. In 2005 they ran a mini tour around the area of Tokyo coupled
with their 2nd Demo Cd, "Es Tart" (500 copies). Later they did a tour of
Northern Japan as well. In 2006 they took part in a Various Artist
compilation from Rinky Dink Studio entitled, "Cookieleaf". In December of
that year they played at the live house, Kichijouji Warp as the opening act
for their 8 year anniversary and played together with Hy-aline for a 2 band
celebration. In 2007 they created their own label known as "Cock Lobster
Records" and released their 1st full length album entitled, "Give Me A
Chocolate." Give Me A Chocolate expands on what they have been doing for
many years and synthesizes it into a work of art.
