Hakkımızda Byway

_________________________________________________________________ You might wonder where the heck is Jena? Well, it’s not at the end of nowhere, but pretty close to. And we are one of quite a few small-town bands from the “Green Heart” of Germany. Three of our members have been playing together since September 2008, the rest joined the band in March 2009. Apart from covering music from the 50’s up to today, we mainly play the songs written by our lead singer Almut. So far our music hasn’t been awful enough to be banned from any residential area. Still, our rehearsal room is under the roof of a local soccer club’s house, where a few flies and ladybirds are constant listeners to our noise. Is that supposed to mean anything? Well, even if…who cares? Hope you enjoy our music, BYWAY _________________________________________________________________ Wir haben Spaß!!! … vor allem seit unsere Proben stets öffentlicher werden und uns neben einer Invasion von Marienkäfern auch manchmal der halbe Handball- und Fußballverein zuhören. Die Band, wie sie jetzt existiert, wurde im März 2009 gegründet. Irgendwie scheint sich dabei eine Art 50%-Regel eingeschlichen zu haben. Hälfte Jungs, Hälfte Mädchen. Hälfte Ossis, Hälfte Wessis. Ja! Wir haben die Einheit vollzogen! Und das, obwohl wir da proben, wo sich Hase und Igel ‚Gute Nacht’ sagen… in Großschwabhausen, unter dem Dach des lokalen Fußballvereins. Zu unserer Verteidigung: Die meisten von uns wohnen in Jena. Na ja, auch nicht viel besser… Die Musikeinflüsse unserer einzelnen Mitglieder könnten kaum unterschiedlicher sein und reichen von Bob Dylan bis zu Metallica. Allerdings wird am Ende immer noch das gespielt, was Almut (Texterin und Komponistin von Byway) sagt. Wir wünschen Euch viel Spaß beim Zuhören!
