I was born in "Brooklyn {Flatbush} NYC" & raised in "East Orange NJ".
Many moons ago I decided to uproot myself from e'vrything I've ever known & come
to "Southern Cali" to pursue my dream of becoming a successful..."Record Producer & Songwriter"...so far so good!
I have personally & closely worked with & for: "Leon F. Sylvers,lll." I have either performed keyboards or sang background vocals on approx: 31 "Gold & Platinum" records that "Leon" & a host of his staff Producers & Writers produced. Some of these "Artists" include..."Shalamar,Dynasty, The Whispers, Klymaxx, Carrie Lucas, Lakeside, & The Sylvers".
Soon Leon started his own Production Company..."Silverspoon Productions". Some of this industry's most creative minds came from that camp like..."Dana Meyers, William Zimmerman, Wardell Potts, Jr., Rickey "Freeze" Smith, Marquis "HAMI" Dair, Horace "BOKIE" Coleman, Isais Gamboa, Janet Cole~Valdez, Joey Gallo, Wilmer Raglin, Vincent Brantley, Jam & Lewis, LA Ried & Babyface, The Calloway Bros. And while I was working in this camp I got to work on many projects like..."Gladys Knight & The Pips, Joyce Kennedy, Rockie Robbins, Glenn Jones, Evelyn "Champagne" King, The Spinners, Tavares, The Bros.Johnson, The Sylvers, Edmund Sylvers, Real To Reel, Wet Betty". In fact it was through this "Company" that I almost had the opportunity to work on the late "Marvin Gaye's" forthcoming 2nd album for "CBS". Unfortunately, "Marvin" died before such a dream for me could become a reality!
After graduating from this school, I went on to "HITSVILLE"-{Owned & operated by Motown Records}. There was a program launched & supervised by three gentlemen..."Benny Medina, Kerry Ashby-Gordy, & Norman Whitfield, Jr." In this setting..."THEY" were looking for up & coming Producers/Musicians to arrange & breathe new life into Motown's staff writer's catalog. It was at this location that I made some very strong connections like..."SHERRICK"{R.I.P.}, Tony LeMans {R.I.P.}, Howie Rice,
Raymond Crossley, Michael Dunlap,Mecca Johnson,John West,Janet Cole~Valdez, James "JAMEO" Hopkins, Donald Black, Chris Powell & Coco Pop, Denzil "DENNY" Foster-{1 1/2 of Production Team for: "EN VOGUE"}. While there, I was able to hone my musician & vocal skillz & get on a few projects as well like..the soundtrack for Motown's movie: "THE LAST DRAGON".
Soon moving on from that camp...I got to work with & for...the great "Steveland Morris" aka: "STEVIE WONDER". Soon into my enrollment, "STEVIE" launched a new facility designed for the sole purpose of grooming & developing talent into Producer/Writers & Programmers. After only being in this program for 6 months "Stevie" appointed me "Creative Director". I did this for three years. Now, the real work was about to begin. It was time for me to set sail if U will..."Spread My Wings".
I re-connected with an old musician buddy I had met a few years back at "HITSVILLE" who by now was an established "Platinum" selling Producer/Writer..."HOWIE RICE"-{Pointer Sisters,Patti LaBelle,Gladys Knight & The Pips, Barry Manilow, Kiss, & Menudo}. Together...along with powerhouse vocalist & writer..."RONEE MARTIN" we wrote: "THIS IS LOVE" for "Gladys Knight. I've been pretty much on the move since then. Some of my clients have been & still are like a who's who in this industry..."Gladys Knight, Regina Belle, Ronee Martin, Immature/Imx, Ex-Girlfriend,Billy Porter,Natalie Williams, 10dB, HAMI, Norman Conners, Jon B.,Keplyn, Sami McKinney{R.I.P.},Bernadette Cooper,Chaka Khan, DeBarge, Phyllis Hyman{R.I.P.}Brown Eyed Soul, Marian Marie,LaDawn Meyers, Debelah & Giloh Morgan.
Currently, I am developing Nu material for artists & projects:..."SHAYA, CHRONICLES, BUDDY HOPKINS, TY G., ANGELICA, JADAMOUR, THA' NU KLICK!, KEPLYN, DIGITAL SOUL SONIC!
I just wrapped my very first movie score fo a "Full Feature" scheduled for national release this coming spring 2009. I am also developing my first SOLO venture which will be a Producer's CD featuring some of what I deem as the world's finest vocalist & musicians.
Also, start lookin' out for some joint ventures with explosive duo act: "TY & KORY" & Hip Hop's Up & Coming Mogul...Artist/Producer "T-BOB" & his entire "OFF BALANCE ENTERTAINMENT" empire! Whew...now this collab is gonna be "OFF THA' MEAT RACK!!!!" {LOL}
I am a "GRAMMY" nominated Producer also by the way...{I lost out to "Raphael Saadiq...not too shabby huh?...yeah, that's what I say!!!!LOL}.

I know you have been one busy man with your new Ty G project. I am very sorry I couldn't make it out to that party in BH, it sounded like 'da bomb :-) Moi, I am kind of in a turbulent environment right now...the winds of change and all! Sometimes it gets overwhelming but I am trying to stay focused and just take things one step at a time.
