Drums are provided via a Korg Pandora's Box, except for "Journey To Planet Number 5" which is Steve Chapko on drums. Sequenced from The Pat Zelenka Project's appearance at Royal Oak Music Theater on 1/9/2008.
Recorded at Pat Zelenka's apartment on a free Audacity program with cheap equipment, a Korg Pandora's Box, and nice guitars. Fueled by Papa John's Pizza and Diet Coke.
Mixed by Pat Zelenka and Rich Bates at Pat's apartment on Pat's PC. Mastered by Ryan Wert at Elm St Recording Studios in Lansing Michigan.
We really enjoyed the recording this year, and we plan on doing a lot more recording soon..........it was a pleasure to record together, and we would do it all over again.
Influences
Everything from Led Zeppelin to Black Sabbath to Beethoven to Pantera to Hank Williams.............................you name it and we love it.

About Rich Bates & Pat Zelenka: The 2008 RPM Sessions
Greetings, and welcome to this page for the RPM Project of Rich Bates, guitarist for the band Under One and bassist for The Pat Zelenka Project, and Pat Zelenka of The Pat Zelenka Project. Our CD is titled “Tales From The Lansing Underground”, and is available now!
These songs range from old school metal, to weird, ambient instrumentals. Some of our favorites are included here in our MP3 player.
We hope you dig what you hear, and come back often. If you attend an Under One or Pat Zelenka Project show in the future, ask us for a copy. How much for a CD you ask? $50? $40? $10? Actually, none of the above. If you purchase from us IN PERSON, ALL copies of "Tales From The Lansing Underground" will be (insert drum roll here) THREE DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!! No kidding, 3 bucks!!
Why so cheap? Because we want this CD in everyone’s hands!! (and it doesn’t hurt that we got a great deal on the pressing, lol) Don’t live anywhere near us? No worries, copies are available online for $4.99, which is still a damn good deal!!
For more information on The RPM Challenge, please check the RPM Challenge in our top friends, and sign up! You don’t win a damn thing, but we love the whole concept and you have no excuse not to participate!
