Ocean Kayaking, Antiques Valuations, Corvettes, eBay, Travel, Snorkeling, Calvin and Hobbes, Tea, Hiking, The Adventurers' Club, and Ephemera. I have a decent collection of 1700s and early 1800s newspapers.
Music
Pearl Jam, Enya, Rolling Stones, Beck, Linkin Park, ZZ Top. Classical is always good. Anything not punk or Christian. Or emo. Oh God, not emo.
Movies
I like The Royal Tenenbaums, No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski, The 13th Warrior, Dogma, Star Wars (all of them), Indiana Jones (all of them), and most Disney animated movies. No chick flicks, except Where the Heart Is.
Television
Meet the Press, The McLaughlin Group, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Colbert Report, NCIS, Firefly, X-Files
Books
Old Custer by Eli Cash, A Painted House by John Grisham, AMERICA: The Book by John Stewart, Harry Potter, The Celestine Prophecy, The Rats of Nihm, and any Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child book, as well as any James Herriot book. There are more, but I can't think of them right now.
About me: I'm a grad student at NYU in Museum Studies. I'm also a Certified Antiques Appraiser (NYU, USPAP 2005).
Mildly Interesting Laura Facts
I enjoy discussing politics and religion. I really like men who cook. I think Fresca is an underrated beverage. I hate cold weather. I've lived in five different states in the past 9 years. I love sending and receiving letters, and fortunately have many girl friends who feel the same way. Green is my favorite color. I drink tea in the mornings. I like toothpaste with stripes. The down side of having a convertible is that I'm tired of cleaning leaves out of it. I really like Blues, but don't care for Jazz. I am always on the lookout for bars with raw oysters. I was blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2003. I've memorized pi to the tenth place. I once saw a plane crash. I do not believe in front license plates, and have paid fines for my beliefs. I play several musical instruments. I was a cheerleader in college. I will think of more useless stuff later.

Only sad about living so far away from my family. I am extremely excited about all of the adventure that we are about to embark on. And yes, when we are old, we will sit on a porch and discuss it, while drinking tea. :)
So the blog that should have been posted yesterday didn't pass the wife test. She said there were too many tangents and it should be redone as a series. Coming soon though.
Thank you so much for thinking of me. So, NJ has become too much for you? lol Your dad is going to Sicily? Cool! I've been all right. I was happy to have worked with you too. I miss our antics. Are you having a farewell party?
Hi Laura. Thanks for the kind acclamation. I'm relocating to Central California, and won't have time to blog for a while. I will (of course) keep up with the best blog on MySpace, and comment when possible. Meanwhile, best wishes for an enjoyable summer.
