   About The Rain King
The Rain King is fronted by Andy Watson, formerly of Trident, Glasgow Kiss, No Quarter and various others.

Born out of a need to air some introspective song writing the band have been putting the finishing touches on the 2009 release "Paradise Syndrome" .

The songs are crafted around the vocal, guitar and piano skills of Andy and are moulded into shape by a virtuoso band starring members of the critically acclaimed 300ft Gorilla.

Featuring the soulful guitar of Paul Hindmarsh and the Rock Solid Rhythm section of Mick Robson and Neil Lough, The Rain King add a touch of sparkle with the beautifully layered Vocals of Paul “Hutch” Sloway and sweet voiced token girl Ali McMurchie of the funk collective UberJuice.

With a tight live show and a killer album on the way, 2009 is the year of The Rain King

’’The Sunday Express (five stars) ***** It’s clear from the title track that you are listening to something special with O’Connor’s second solo album… It’s time for KT, Sandi and Amy to make room because this should launch a new Scottish star into the charts.
’’

The Herald (four stars) **** ''O’Connor has one of the best voices heard in Scotland in some time, and a set of fine songs to show it off…''

The List (four stars) **** There is an unmistakable modern twist to her music, and she flits effortlessly between, husky poppiness on the likes of ‘Saturday Man’ to soulful stripped down and spine tingling.
