Cabaret Fou are a new ensemble dedicated to performing contemporary songs in a theatrical context, alongside popular works of the early 20th Century. We promise our music will make you feel entertainingly uncomfortable with songs that are rude, lewd, disturbingly beautiful, witty, provocative, sinister, wicked, heart-achingly hilarious, politically twisted, melancholic and definitely sadistic.
Formed by composer Robert Fokkens and soprano Sarah Dacey with their first performances including nights at Lauderdale House, Peterhouse Cambridge and Tête À Tête Opera Festival 2007 at the Riverside Studios.
"colourful, challenging and witty. There's a talent there for the irreverent.”

Dear friends, I am playing a free gig at the beauteous Union Chapel, Islington this Saturday. The sunlight will be streaming through its vaulted windows as Blank Canvas and Arctic Circle present this gig during the blessed daylight hours of 12-2. And yea shall it's hallowed interior be filled with all manner of scraping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Let us pray. And then let us go to the pub.
