In no particular order: Aerosmith, AC/DC, Jimmy Buffet, Flogging Molly, Bob Marley, Barenaked Ladies, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Nine Inch Nails, The Pogues, Guns 'N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Shaggy, The Offspring, House of Pain, U2, Dropkick Murphys, Staind, The Gorillaz, Rob Zombie, The Beach Boys, Three Doors Down... I even listen to some really old rap artists. I have a low tolerance for most country and hip/hop, but it's more of a question of what I don't listen to rather than what I do.
Movies
Braveheart, Snatch, Ronin, The Big Lebowski, Kevin Smith's body of work (Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob... , etc.), Animal House, PCU, Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, Blazing Saddles, Momento, The Blair Witch Project, LotR Trilogy, Water Boy, Goodfellas, The Godfather, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Suicide Kings, Courage Under Fire, Saving Private Ryan, 8 mm, Last of the Mohigans, Pulp Fiction, Waiting (I've lived/done it)
Television
Rescue Me, The Shield, Law and Order (not the one with 'Private Pyle'), The Family Guy, a good chunk of the stuff on the History Channel. Lewis Black is a winner on "Root of All Evil". Tune into Food Network for "Good Eats" and "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". As for a guilty pleasure, check out "Who Wants To Be A Super-Hero" on the SciFi Channel.
Books
Anything by George R.R. Martin, The Black Company series by Glen Cook, Maxim (the best "laddie mag" out there - althought the new format is sucking), the 'Vinci Code et al. by Brown (the BOOKS people - they are on the FICTION rack) - try Deception Point.
Heroes
Anyone willing to stand up for themselves or others, regardless of the consenquences.

Kicking around Melbourne far too long after graduation. Fell into a job managing Chumley's Bar next to the Florida Tech campus. Looking for a new position in the biology field, or barring that, going back to grad school and majoring in Environmental Resource Management.
One pet peeve - Yes, my last name really IS Luce. L-U-C-E. It's pronounced just like loose - the opposite of tight. It is not a screwed up nickname; it isn't pronounced Lucy, Lewis, Luche or some other stupidity; and my first name isn't Lou or Bruce. Sheesh, it only has four letters, two of them are vowels and one of those is silent.
For those of you who are looking for me on MySpace, I also was hung with the nickname "Rabid Wombat" by a few friends of mine. Long story, and not that funny, but there it is.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who can get a chuckle out of my shirts and realizes that irony and sarcasm are the hallmarks of any reasonably decadent civilization. For those of you who disagree that American society as we know it is on it's way out, I postulate that Paris Hilton and reality television are the modern equivalents to the bread and circuses offered to the masses at the end of the Roman Empire. The barbarians aren't at the frontiers ladies and gentlemen, they are already ensconced in the Programming Department at FOX.
Enough with the ranting. Below, I present to you one of the greatest screw ups in the history of marine science.
Don't know how often you check this myspace- but i wanted to let you know that I miss you all @ Chums!! School is keeping me busy and I could use a drink..
Rev. Cabin Boy ... :o) Been a minute, but wanted to come thru and show some love.... Keep doing ya thang... and don't let ANY body EVER tell you,"You Can't!" The mind is incredible. If you believe, you CAN achieve. DON'T give up on your destiny, it NEVER gives up on you.

Sorry for drunk dialing last night. Whatever my idea was seemed brilliant at the time, but I'm sure upon further analysis it would be decidedly less so. Fortunately, I can't remember what the idea was to begin with.
