About me:

.. .. I am just a simple country boy. What you see is what you get. I think it takes too much effort to be someone that I'm not, and I like to be lazy now and then. I was born and bred on a small farm in Robards, KY. You've never heard of it. It's just a little ol' town of a couple hundred people. I was on the fire department there for 8 years. I moved off to go to school in Mississippi. Go Dawgs! Yeah, they suck at everything but baseball, but they did beat the Aggies back in 2001 at the Independence Bowl. I majored in Mechanical Engineering for my BS and stayed on to finish my MS. Yeah, I'm a nerd, but I fool a lot of people. I worked as a Scout Instructor and C.O.P.E. Director (ask about this one if you want to know) at Camp Seminole and lived/worked there while in grad school; it's where I earned the nickname "Stump." If you wanna know how, you gotta ask me - it's pretty funny. I'm certified to teach rappelling, climbing (top rope only), archery, horsemanship, riflery, and shotgun. I also taught many Air Force reserves and AF and Army ROTC students to rappel and land nav. A young guy like me teaching old military guys how to live and track in the woods, go figure. Yeah, it was awesome. Too bad there wasn't a degree in that :) I finally moved to Texas after graduation for work, and closed on my first house on August 29, 2005. It's awesome. Just me, my dogs, and tarantula living the good life, except we now need some good land so I can add some horses to my "family." I'm know some people don't like that I'm not a true Texan, but I was wearing boots, hats, breaking horses, and riding bulls before I ever came here. If you don't like me or think I'm a "poser," you know where you can go, cuz I don't put on a show for anyone. You can usually find me at Vino's in Hurst on Pipeline on Friday and/or Saturday nights, depending on how bored I get or if no one else is around to go do something else. It's a nice little karaoke bar/Italian restaurant. The food and people are awesome (there's a nice little dance floor too), so if you just wanna hang out anytime, come out there. Ask for me, and someone can tell you if I'm there or not. I'd say I've done pretty good for myself so far growing up with little to nothing and now doing pretty good for myself now. Yes, I know I look like Christopher Reeve from his Superman days, the pictures just don't do the comparison justice. ..
