Thank you for visiting MySpace for Caddy for a Cure. This site and operation come as the completion of a dream and vision that I had several years ago. The road has been long, but it seems that it has all been worthwhile with the excitement that surrounds us.
One of my best friends and his wife gave birth to Christian Collins over fourteen years ago. Christian was
afflicted with a disease called Fanconi anemia, which is a rare form of leukemia. It is a devastating disease that was formerly almost always terminal, and the standard of life for the patient was not good. When I saw Christian for the first time I fell in love with him and my mind began to work with a way to stop this dreaded disease. Further, they gave birth to two more healthy boys, followed by another child, Calen, who was also afflicted.
I suffered with the Collins family through two bone marrow transplants. One needed to be done in Berlin, one here in the United States. Calen almost didn't make it through the grafting process.
It is with great delight that we are here today, healthy, and looking forward to the future. Caddy for a Cure provides you, the golf fan, with the most unique way we know of to get a glimpse into the world of professional golf.
When your excitement builds and the auction draws close to the end, make your bids knowing that each dollar you spend for a day you will never forget, goes to a person who never forget you.
Thank you so much,
Russ Holden
