About me:

I like cake. I'm a fat boy, what do you expect? I'm 33, male, and lookin' for some lovin'! I am a liberal, but I'm open minded. ;)I listen to radio shows and podcasts at work like Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Big Ed Shultz, and The Todd and Tyler show fill my ears. I'm just learning to live and let live while getting out there and openly supporting my causes and candidates. It's not easy because I love to argue!

I am not religious. For twenty seven years or so, I struggled with Christianity. These days the only organized religion, if you could call it that, that I appreciate is Buddhism. Otherwise, you could call me an agnostic/atheist. Agnostic because I say, we don't know, and something COULD exist, but there's no proof of it, and atheist because I don't believe in ANY religion or gods.

I used to be a radio broadcaster. I've worked or interned at the following stations:

KFDI: College Intern, I got an A!
KYQQ 106.5: My very FIRST on air gig and internship! The station was top 40 at the time. I was sixteen when I got this gig thanks to my buddy Jason, or Jaywalker. I also ended my on air career here when it was Hot Country.
KRBB B98-FM: My first FULL TIME GIG! I was also their morning show producer, twice.
1330 KFH: I did the weather, ran the board, and other odd jobs. I did do the sports one time as Shaquille O'neill. I know, I am retarded, but it didn't go un-noticed!
Mix 105.3: I got my nickname from here. I got to host my first morning show here, and even did some shows with Scotty B and the crew. I was most known for the 100 meter Dustin carry, in which some guy I didn't know, came down to the station and carried me live on the radio down the street. I spent my time being carried making stupid remarks about how close I was to him and how much he liked me. As he was leaving I looked at him, live on the air and said, "Miss Me". :)
Larry Stecklines Ag Network: I actually turned down a full time position with these guys. I was broadcast over three states and fifty plus stations every day.

Not many people know much about me. Here's my life summed up in one extremely long paragraph. Be forwarned, I'm a fairly open person.

Born in Wichita, Halloween of 1975. Adopted out at three months. Got the shit beat out of me till I was 12 by my troll faced adopted mother and she moved me around from state to state while burning down houses cause she was a pyro. Later I got a lawyer and gave the adopted mother the smack down. I lost my birth mother at 13, one week later, watched my grandmother die from cancer. A couple years later, lost her son, my stepfather Gerald, and her ex-husband, my grandfather Fats. Mom left me a few bucks from the insurance money she collected after an eighteen wheeler steamrolled her car, I wasted it, but paid off the house I live in. I worked in radio, got depression, quit radio, not all in that order, college is in there somewhere. I had depression for five years until 9/11 hit and I went apeshit. I'm great now thanks to Lexapro. In fact, I'm the BEST I've ever been! I believe anti-depressants are a miracle to man. I guess I was always kind of depressed. I'm learning how to live a happy life now with my rules. When it comes to women, I haven't had very much luck. When it comes to vehicles, for some reason, I have great karma in that department! I'd prefer to have a best friend in my life personally over the vehicle. My life has been full of alot of emotion, pain, loss, eternal sadness, self exploration, and realization. I feel that while most people are searching for who they are, I'm ahead of the game, as I've had my mid life crisis already. My life has helped me wise up and learn about myself. In my opinion, someone with life knowledge is far better off than someone with just book knowledge and no idea of who they truly are. If you have both, you are really cooking with butter, and good luck to you! ;) Anything else I've left out, I may add later.

Also, you may be wondering why my myspace url has cadenblaker in it. Well, I'm working on changing my name to Caden L. Blaker. Blaker is my mothers maiden name, Caden is just a name I like, and the L, is silent, in honor of my birth mother, Linda.

This Thursday Night will have a large bearing on how many concerts Mosaic continues to provide. We are hosting by far, our biggest band, Stars Go Dim. Stars Go Dim features 3 former members, (almost the entire band) of Pillar. Pillar a very popular Rock Band with Christian roots has played in venues and before hundreds of thousands. While this hard driving rock band was the catalyst of Stars Go Dim, many will be surprised at the incredible technical quality of this new band.

Stars Go Dim provides more of a rhythmic rock and blues closer to a Derrick Trucks or Marshal Tucker Band than that of a hard driving band such as Pillar.
The quality of their debut ep is phenomenal and many of the songs can be heard at the bands myspace page located at www.myspace.com/starsgodim

One of the unique attributes of the show in Wichita on Thursday nigh, April 23 is that the venue will only seat 115 max. For a group of guys used to playing before thousands, and for the fans who love them, this unique opportunity will be something that won’t soon be forgotten. While the $10 admission for this concert is a little more than what Mosaic usually charges for its concerts, there could easily be hundreds if not thousands in the Wichita area who would be exited about this opportunity, an opportunity to see a band of this caliber in a room not much larger than some people’s living room. In fact, there will be many that will be so close to the band, you would think they were on the stage.

Opening up for Stars Go Dim will be the up and coming local band, Lost Colors formerly known as Mile Marker 128 can be heard at their myspacepage, www.myspace.com/thelostcolors This group of talented musicians is sure to please the crowd with their lively pop rock sound. Between Lost Colors and Stars Go Dim one can fully expect a very entertaining couple of hours worth of music in a close, intimate environment. It will be a concert that many will be talking about for a very long time.

around the corner, back again, jumped by a gaggle of freaks, washed by skinny saints while smoking seed grown gifts from gods of nature, only to find myself stuck in an exact replica of the movie 'Groundhog Day' while slowly i rot along with my fellow survivors! tally hoe!
