Based in Brussels, Cafeneon are four friends who decided to mix an original electro-pop music with french lyrics. New Order, Daniel Darc (ex Taxi Girl) and Mad Professor could be seen as their common basic references in between plenty of others.
Rodolphe Coster (guitar, voice), also member of the collective Poni, and ex Flexa Lyndo, Aurélien Chouzenoux (bass, electronics), composer for contemporary dance-theatre pieces who had also released several electro ep ( Tiac Sonic ... ) , Catherine Brevers (voice ) and Marc Lhommel (drums) both involved in light creations for theatre, are recently joined by Gregory Carette (guitar) on stage for being Cafeneon.
Beside their occupations in Living arts, the quatuor kept on working on a repertory, a nine tracks demo. Cristian Vogel ( Tresor,Super_Collider, Novamute) received this first draft and proposed to produce an album in his studio Station 55, in Barcelona. Known as well through his talented remix (for Radiohead, Maximo Park and Thom Yorke) as for his production works (Panico, Chicks on Speed), Cristian seems to be ideal for Cafeneon.
Cafeneon signed on Station 55 records, and a single track/video « Orange » announces the forthcoming total LP « Cafeneon ».
