Caïnan Dawn is an Occult Black Metal band located in Chambéry (Savoie). The original members in the band were Heruforod (Guitar / Vocals), Kobal (Bass), Sorghal (Guitar) and HellHaze (Drums). The first demo was released on August 20, 2007 on the label Eisiger Mond Productions from Lille (France). The full-lentgth album should be released in 2009...
Created in 2003 at Beziers / Montpellier (Hérault), Caïnan Dawn (pronounced Key-nan Done, where Caïnan is a very powerful vampire from Vampire: The Masquerade.) , at the time, consisted of two members, Heruforod and Kobal. The band wanted to create a music influenced by Black Metal, Death Metal and Thrash, while keeping an aura delved deep into the occult, darkness and mythologies.
The group created several tracks using a drum machine. A demo emerged from those tracks but fell into oblivion due to unsatisfactory results, and thus was never released.
After a silence of one year, the group begets some new titles that appeared on "In Darkness I Reign" which resulted in the vein of true black metal. Result of a fluke, Caïnan Dawn moved to Chambéry and, shortly thereafter, met Sorghal from Nehëmah. After listening to the demo, he offered his talent and became the lead guitarist who was obviously needed to give the full musical dimension to the band. The band began to practice for shows and released their demo in August 2007.
Hellhaze has left the band and it's Hljodr (Mysteriarch, Novgorod and Vesterian) who took up the throne in December 2007. In April 2008, Keithan (Maïeutiste from Grenoble) has replaced Kobal for personal reasons.
