Finding out with the
impressionist painters, the musicians, Sherlock Holmes, and H.G. Wells, how art
is interrelated with science.
Book Description
You and Caius Zip will uncover the mystery in Paris, 1885.
The characters will be on the stage of the Opera of Paris and in rehearsals,
watching and participating in the staging of the Bizet’s opera, Carmen...
Behind the scenes, a phantom lurks. But is he from the
opera? Murders take place that you and Caius, together with the young H. G.
Wells and Sherlock Holmes, must solve by using deduction. Many others will be
involved in this mystery and suspense plot. The entire cast of the opera will
concentrate on performing the whole four acts of Carmen and will do what is in
their power to lift those curtains, facing the fear and uncertainty of the final
outcome
.. ..
In the meantime, impressionist art will show the extent in
which it is interrelated with science. How? Read about the meeting at Monet’s
house with the painters Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, Lautrec, Rodin, Berth
Morisot and the participation of Sherlock, Wells and Caius that, like the great
painters, will add their own brushstrokes to the discussion on creative forms of
time travel
Caius Zip, the young time traveller, will learn the wisdom of Ancient Egypt
with the great Pharaoh Ramses II. The main architect of the Pharaoh, plus the
Greek scholar who visited Egypt for studying geometry, and the pharaoh’s main
wife, the beautiful Nefertari, will teach Caius the principles of geometry.
After an impressive narration on the effort of the Egyptians in the building of
their great monuments, Caius will participate in this effort, with the
calculations of area and volume of the pyramids. In the famous battle of Kadesh,
an important loca-tion in present day Syria, between the two largest eastern
powers of that period, the time traveller will help the great pharaoh to win the
battle against the Hittite army. How? Aiding in the construction of traps, where
he will use his newly acquired knowledge of geometry. More than acquiring
knowledge, this book is also about a young person acquiring maturity, ‘growing’,
in the true essence of the word.
Mathematics -What Beast is This?
Caius Zip is a teenager that, during his private maths classes, disappears into thin air. Caius was chosen for a very special purpose to travel in time. He must face mysterious cases, adventures, fun and, mostly, his biggest fear: the monster of maths – Enigmat.
Apart from the entertaining chapters, this book has a strong didactic content and each story tackles one of the mathematical concepts taught in the 5th grade, like: Power – Divisibility – Fractional exponents – Prime Numbers – GCD (Greatest Common Divisor) – LCM (Least Common Multiple) – Fraction – Decimal Numbers - Periodic fractions – Measurement Units Conversion – Percentage.

Caius Zip takes part in the invasion of the French army in the city of Moscow, commanded by the legendary Napoleon. He also meets the Russian marshal, Kutuzov, the man with the mission to block the huge Napoleonic army.
Caius attends a dinner in which there is a memorable dialogue with Napoleon, of a determined and captivating personality, the faithful Marshal Ney and, on the Russian side, the patriotic princess, Natasha. During the dinner, Caius listens in awe to the narration of Napoleon’s strategies and exploits, up to the moment of the invasion of Moscow.
A great lesson of strategy and of a notable human virtue: patience! Caius meets the great Russian commander-in-chief who, resisting the pressures of other officials and even of the tsar himself, persisted with his strategy of avoiding direct combat with Napoleon’s Grande Armeé. Kutuzov retreats and hinders the life of the invaders, cutting their supply lines and constantly beating them with guerrilla tactics, until the arrival of his great ally: General Winter.
The participation of Caius will be important in this historical moment, as he solves enigmas and learns with the Russian marshal how some mathematical calculations can be crucial in taking strategic decisions in this battle of empires.
After the story, in a very original manner, Napoleon tells us his memories of that time.”.
Caius Zip, the young time traveller, arrives at Paris in 1905.
The turn of the 20th century is a period that sizzles with ideas and realizations and the Universe is about to be contemplated as it never was before. On the night that Einstein launched the famous E=mc2 formula on paper, he disappeared for a few days. Where was he?
In this work of fiction, Einstein was resting in Paris before his innovating Theory of Relativity enlightened him. At that same time, Picasso was just starting on his idea of breaking with conventional perspective. Both characters seek the same concept: space-time relation. The encounter between art and science is finally possible by means of a limitless imagination.
Caius penetrates the birth of the theory of relativity and cubism and also manages to solve a murder mystery with the help of his two teenage friends, Agatha Cristie, with her investigative mind and Charlie Chaplin, who provides a touch of magic to this surprising work of fiction.
After all and as Einstein once said: “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed”.

CAIUS ZIP –The Time Traveller
This series shows the history made by great men and how mathematics and other subjects were important in their decisions. Caius Zip is a young man that participates in these discoveries and in the great battles. In each adventure, he acquires maturity and learns that to get out of trouble he must use his most important ability that he unknowingly uses very well: the power of deduction.

Scent of Jessamine lingers close by upon freshe linen the tear she left behind Cool crisp breeze spreads her through out Every turn a reminder Every breath short and weak, like a ghost Jessamine creeps, hides and seeks a revenge. For the tear left behind was for another my friend!
For "Columbus Day", * "Christopher Columbus made one of the most successful screw ups in history.
He sold Queen Isabella of Spain on the idea of finding a new trade route to indian (hence, we call our native peoples here in America, "Indians"), but didn't know the Earth was bigger than he thought (supply issue if he had gone all the way) and that the Americas was in between.
"Although Columbus found lots of islands, he never hit North America!"
My question is how can they claim and have a national holiday for him discoverying it?
Did I mention in these vogages, they brought back 500 indians and sold them as slaves?
