Cajun Woodstock was founded in 2003 by the band JC Carriere and Hotstep and the mayor of Church Point, Mr. Roger Boudreaux. After playing many benefits the band wanted to give back to those who really need their help. They decided to help St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital not because of personal experiences but simply because they wanted to help the children of our future. Cajun Woodstock started as a one day "benefit" and as grown to a well rounded festival. In the past six years Cajun Woodstock has donated $126,000!!
We could have never done this without the great support of all of you!
As we prepare for our 7th annual festival we have big hearts, we knew we'd get support...but we did not expect to grow as we have! As long as we have the support of South Louisiana we will continue to help in the fight to find cures that will save lives!

Blue Merlot will be featured at a special concert this Saturday, November 17th, presented by Le Bayou Legendaire in Abbeville. Joining us will be Ronnie Vice and Brad Credeur! This is a wonderful music venue in the historic Richard's Sale Barn.
Le Bayou Legendaire is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and sharing of the rural French Culture of Vermilion parish and Acadiana parishes. This will be a concert with Blue Merlot favorites, originals, Gospel, and some songwriting offerings you may not be familiar with yet!
