| General | (Sometimes) known as Caroline ...I am one of the two very proud founders of shoegaze/post-rock/electronica night CLUB AC30, the Dublin version, launched December '07, and have begun promoting some stuff that doesn't fit into the aforementioned box independently, for the craic... Massively involved with music needless to say, and really want to get some little known stuff out there DJ and promoter-wise, and am currently attempting to alter the career paths of some excellent Irish bands so that they don't end up chasing their tails forever in the musical wasteland that is Dublin ... do research into psychology and education-y things for masters in education but it's bloody hard and I'm dead lazy. I like making mix cds in my head, making people I like listen to something I think will change their lives. Watching movies with deadly soundtracks and wishing that kinda stuff was my job. Dancing like no one is watching. Adventures. Mad trips away where you end up somewhere chatting to someone random and unexpected. Messing up clothes and making something new out of them. Imparting knowledge on children (what little I have left). Sleeping. I have infinite patience with kids but hardly any in relation to everything else. Far too skeptical in some respects and infinitely trusting and naive in others. One big hard to understand contradiction. I think too much. I spend all my hard earned cash on cd's, gigs, music, some more gigs, road (or air!) trips, cinema, another gig or two, and em... a few more cd's. I have found that finding a song that makes your stomach do a flip is one of the best feelings in the world, but then playing it to death and and ruining it forever is one of the worst. I wish i read more but patience and focus is a problem. People watching. Lately, swoony guitar songs with their thrashy minor chord noise just this side of the cascading abyss, with some sort of angelic urgent chorus complete with gut wrenching harmony, are ruining my life. Oh yeah, I enjoy laughing and eating and saying dude too much... smiling at the amazingness that is life is pretty good too.
| | Music | It all started with nik kershaw 'wouldn't it be good' as a kid running round singing all the words wrongly, but shur ya gotta start somewhere!

| | Movies | A bit of a movie nerd, setting up camp in cineworld is putting it mildly! Broad range of stuff, a great soundtrack and a plot I can analyse to shit is going to sway me wildly in favour. | | Heroes | |
