Hey - i just got home a day ago and still jetlagged I was excited to give a listen to the new samples/demos
Real Deal kicked my ass! Just exactly what I needed to get ready for a San Fran Friday night! What time does the gig start? What? Was I daydreamin again! F*&^!
Hey, the 1st demo on the queue is solid and I can't wait to see what lyrics are going to do to the shape of that one.
Speaking of lyrics... what the hell happened to New York City??? Is the love lost already?? Now you're all about Nurembourg. Oh the fickleness of men. Seriously though, I liked the punch and rhythm that words New York Ci - teh brought to the phrase but you do what you like - I'm still stubbornly gonna sing what I want anyway! It's gonna be my theme song when I go to NY next month
I need to give some more listens to Electric Lights and Nuremborg because my mind is fading back into Welsh time right now... see, I remember the glory of last summer's gigs-everlasting. I've heard these songs so well and so often that I even hear them in my sleep. So, I was listening for my favorite parts on the recordings. Some of them were conspicuous by their absence - so some things have changed. I'll have to take a few more listens and tell you what Im hearing or more importantly missing!!!! For example in at least one part Dyl's amazing voice is taking the harmony instead of the lead I loved so well --or maybe you've changed the melody line. But why would you change something that was already perfect? Huh? - may i just remind you of what my great grand-pappy used to tell me "If it aint broke don't fix it!"
All in all I am stoked that you are recording and I can't wait to hear more new material. Keep it coming!
You know I absolutely hate to quote Whitney Houston but "I WANNA KNOW!" I really do. Is it too much to ask to know the writing credits for such top hits as "New York City", "The River", "Breaking the Ice" and the list goes on.
Alright lads, I didn't want to have to go here but I'm comin to Wales on Friday and I have got a FRESH pair of AC/DC boxers that will go to the first bandmember who satisfies my curiosity.
