My music collection is larger than that of most radio stations, and with unreasonable variety. I'm always interested in listening to something I haven't heard before though.
My favorite music is the music that people play from the heart, even if it means leaving genre labels behind, and striking out for new and untested forms and styles of rhythm harmony and soul.

Anybody who cares about the quality of their work, even it they're not being paid a lot for it, and even when nobody is looking.
About me: Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
-Benjamin Franklin
I am simply an otherwise-normal man who actually believes that the system that we call "election" might still work like it is supposed to.
(At this point I should warn everybody: I like parenthetical statements.)
I work for Wal-Mart right now (I can hear what some of your are thinking... But it's not bad work.) but I don't consider that who I am, it's just what I do for now. If I had to describe myself, I'd probably go for something along the lines of saying I'm a reasonably intelligent man who can't get over my idealism, and also can't seem to convince people that I'm not somewhat insane. (And not just because I'm running for president.) But sanity is somewhat over-rated, and as long as I'm the 'safe' kind of insane nobody complains much.
I was born in Maine, moved to North Carolina when I was 8, then to Florida when I was just short of 15, and despite trying to move away from Florida several times (Tyler Texas was nice...) I have a close family, and so I keep on coming back where my parents, my sister, and my grandparents all settled, which is right here in the 'bay area'. (Check out my pictures section to see a bit of my family. I'll add more as I'm able.)
I was Home Educated (Most would say "Home Schooled" but I hate to use bad grammar to refer to an educational process I like...) from 1st Grade all the way through High School.
Although I am a high-school graduate, and I do have a few dozen credits left over from when I was using Saint Petersburg College for my education. (Some of my credits are old enough to be expiring soon... Oh well.) I tend to be rather auto-didactic, which just means I'd rather learn it for myself than pay a university to teach me. I enjoy reading fiction, but I try to keep at least two thirds of my reading on serious topics. (Recently ranging from Philosophy to Economics, with a little business history thrown in.)
Appearance-wise I am just over 6 feet tall, with long dark hair, and I wear an extra-large t-shirt and 44 waist/32 leg pants. (Short version: I'm a big guy.)
I'd prefer to keep fairly active, but in recent years I've developed some back problems which make this difficult, so I do end up spending quite a bit of time on my bum. I'm still reasonably strong, but I can't move like I used to. At least it has given me more time for intellectual pursuits... Not to mention movies and random web searching. We can't be perfect all the time.
My talents include singing (Professional quality according to many professionals I've known.) stage tech, acting, pretending I know how to dance, and renaissance heavy arms fighting, to name a few.
The shortest description I can give of my world/political viewpoint is that I am a Zen-Tao-Capitalist-Constitutionalist. What that would mean for the USA under my administration is that I would work hard for small government, particularly on the Federal level, and that I am a supporter of greater freedom, extending to the realms of societal, business, and personal interactions, on all levels. Some would call me an idealist, but I'm just a Constitutionalist with a goal of freedom restricted only by the "golden rule".
Some laws make sense... To use a blatantly obvious example, I would not want you to kill me, so I should not kill you, and I would, of course, be in favor of a law to enforce that arrangement. On the other hand, when the laws of our land take away the freedom and livelihood that they are meant to protect, we should take a harsh look at our reasoning and methods.
I think the title of a sculpture in a city a few miles north of here is the best summary of my hopes for our country. The sculpture is called "Within the bounds of civility I am free." and it is my hope that somehow we can work towards a government that enables all our people to make that statement, and do so without speaking falsely.
Please don't be shy! I welcome any questions or comments regarding my intention to run for president in 2016, or even questions about my personal life.
Together we can make a difference. This is a good country... Let's make it better.
