Caleb Joel Hawkins was graduating from film school with the Peoples’ Choice Award for best film when he entered and won the inaugural Thunder Bay Songwriter Contest 2006. Recording time at Uxmal Iguana Music with Producer Les Henderson and a professionally produced music video by Lee Chambers and Suzanne Plesh from Splesh Creative were prizes that turned into a 9 original song self-titled CD and an award for ‘Over The Verge’ from the International DV Awards for ranking among the world’s best in the Music Video category.
Caleb’s unique voice and inspiring lyrics touch listeners hearts. With praise from the media and a growing Fanbase, Caleb continues to deliver his talents and shine in performances, writing, and filmmaking. Writing new songs for his next album and soon to begin production on a video for ‘Draw Your Guns’ Caleb is honing his career for stardom. The 22 year old cites influences from Neil Young, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, James Blunt, and Jack Johnson. His sound is a blend of all these artists but with a definite originality and uniqueness of his own.

Hey dude, it was great to meet you in person, hopefully you'll come and play in Sioux Lookout sometime. Should see or ask that Marley chick who won the contest to come out and play too
Nice to meet you Caleb. Thanks for the note. I think that would be great to play a show together in the fine city of Edmonton sometime. I will be coming there a few times in the next 6 months.
Thanks so much for that Bday wish. Hope you're taking care and keep on truckin' with the tunes. Looking forward to one day seeing you on tv and saying "Hey I know that guy, and used to babysit him!"
