The California Celts are the Armitage Brothers from the hills of Yucca Valley, CA, featuring "Johnny the Fox" of Sally's Gap, (Dublin, Ireland). Their Music draws from the vast worldwide catalog of Celtic music. The crowd stirs to a frenzy as the performance kicks off with a celtic parade including Highland pipes, tin whistle drums and accordion. The parade winds its way to the stage where the mandolin, guitar, rhythm and drums take over. The California Celts then perform their extensive repertoire of songs including Scottish, Irish standards, several original songs in the traditional style and a little bit of ancient mouth music to make the set authentic and complete. The Brothers and Ms. Presley have pioneered, if not invented, the "Celtic Ska" genre by drawing on their experience as fifth generation Californians with influences that span Reggae, Bluegrass and Rock. The California Celts are a unique group of musicians that create a one of a kind must see experience........................
"The California Celts have an onslaught of a show, playing everything from their classics like 'Slow Down Sister' and 'Love is Stronger Than Pride' to obscure and infectious Hibernian reels."
