The California Consolidated Drum Band (CCDB) became California's Official Fife and Drum Corps in June, 1997. The group was formed by members of the former Fort Sutter Fife and Drum Corps, the Field music of the National Civil War Association (NCWA), and the Fife and Drum Corps of the Reenactors of the American Civil War (RACW). In October, 1996, CCDB became the first California corps in the Company of Fifers and Drummers, truly spreading the Ancient music "from sea to shining sea."

Oh FYI if you are ever in the Fredericksburg, VA area on one of the trips east the National Park is looking for bands. I am not sure if it would be a paid thing because it is a national park, but it is something to consider.
