Born in Rock, trained in pop and charmed by folk Gia tells a story of love and heartbreak like no other. Her words and melodies inspire and comfort ones heart. With over 50 poems and songs written to her name, this Maltese born poetess, singer, songwritter spent her childhood and youth listening to diversity of music, from the likes of the Beatles, Queen,Janis Joplin,Pink Floyd, Elton John, The Doors, Skunk and Joni Mitchel to mention a few. Gia moved to London in 2000 determained to make it in music some way or another. In 2001 she teamed up with Ed to form her very first band called the Flat Runnaway Pixies, the band split up in 2003 , since then Gia has pretty much been lying in her dormant stage until her friend Red gave her an old Guitar and she decided to embark into her new musical adventure as a solo artist.
