For Renan Calistro, the executive side of the Music "Biz" is just as engaging as the production side. As he puts it,"Work is work, so I enjoy making things happen on both sides of the coin." You see, for this HBCU graduate who majored in Political Science with a concentration in Administration, spear heading projects from begining to end is exactly what satisfies his drive in this industry. Growing up with a family that surrounded him with music and the arts, it was simply a matter of time before Renan picked up an instrument. "I started playing the saxophone when I was in the seventh grade and the piano from the ninth grade." This obviously paid off later on, resulting in a music scholarship to attend college. "I grew up with the best of both worlds, both of my parents were administrators in their respective fields, but that never stopped their love for the arts. He says " As for my sound, I work very hard to make sure I don't have one!" I guess it is safe to say that when Renan Calistro is in the kitchen, he will most definitely cook-up an extensive meal to satisfy his clients request.
