Calixto Oviedo Mulens Biography: Calixto oviedo born in Havana-Cuba on october the 14-1955. He tooks in his hand the drumsticks at the age of 2 years old and with four years he started to played at Parisien cabaret orchestra in the national hotel in havana and with the Cuban Radio&TV orchestra At the age of eight years old started in the music conservatory school Alejandro Garcia Caturla and then goes to the National High School of Arts Calixto used to play with important cubans orchestras and bands : Pacho Alonso orchestra,Adalberto y su Son,Arturo Sandoval band (short period),Pachito Alonso orchestra,Isaac Delgado,Ng La banda. He used to play also with many well known international musicians such as: Danilo Perez,David Sanchez,Luis Conte,Giovanni Hidalgo,Ray Barreto,Tata Guines, Miguel "Anga"Diaz,Dave Valentin,Chico Freeman,Horacio"El negro"Hernandez,Omar Sosa,Alfredo Rodriguez,Eddy Palmieri,Chucho Valdes,Gonzalo Rubalcaba,Emiliano Salvador,Ralph Irizarri,Jose Luis Quintana"shanguito",Juan Pablo Torres,La luz orchestra,Celia Cruz,Oscar d Leon,Winton Marsalis,Roy Hargrove,Sting,Lucciano Pavarotti,James Brown,Manu Divango,Manhattan Transfer quartet and Akira Jimbo. Also to working with two great musicians from the Spanish jazz . with Javier Colina and Perico Sambeat.
