Crys's Interests
General
I do a lot of reading, both for study and for fun. I also do a little writing (very little) and some knitting and crocheting. I'd be a great crazy cat lady if I weren't allergic to cats. I do a fair bit of stargazing during the summer. Also, I heart math.
Music
I like a little of everything, but I love a good singer/songwriter: Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley, and Badly Drawn Boy are some favorites. I'm also a big fan of musicals, especially RENT and Avenue Q. I like Dexy's Midnight Runners and I'm not ashamed.
Movies
Anything well-made and well-acted. I generally gravitate toward comedy (especially romantic comedies), but I love a good foreign film or crime drama. Key word being good.

Television
Law & Order in all its incarnations, particularly SVU, could cause me to flunk out of school. I watch House religiously, and I wish Grey's Anatomy didn't come on at the same time as Scrubs 'cause that's a hard call to make. I already miss Gilmore Girls.
Books
I wouldn't be a good nerd if I didn't list Harry Potter here, but my first love is Nick Hornby. The man's a genius, I tell ya. Currently, I'm reading The Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank and Slammerkin by Emma Donoghue. I just finished Thank You For Smoking and it was so great. I could also recommend some great medical texts and math books if you're interested.

tonight at work was pretty sad..they sent 27c back from the hospital and she is basically just dying and she knows it..she was talking about her living will and stuff..she was actually in her right mind more than usual it seemed..but she almost made me cry, it was sad =[ but besides the sad stuff george drove me crazy! actually all of the residents were on the wild side. it really sucked tonight! p.s. i hate the nights cindy leaves early for school because joanna has to stay til 11:00 and that is enough bullshit to make me wanna kill myself. -sigh-

pretty much just drama. tonight samantha and leslie got into it..leslie is on 3rd if you didn't already know...but anyways..opal posted a paper at the nurse's station that say no briefs on in the bed unless it has been requested by the family..and leslie came in raising hell cause samantha demanded that no one was going to wear a brief besides vera and dola..so leslie was pissed and said that she wanted briefs on everyone before we left..and sam called pam at 11p.m. and the lpns wouldn't do anything about it because it was only cindy and april. so it was really stupid.
hey..i was just sitting here thinking about how my cat would be cute in a sweater..lol..so if you get caught up on all your knitting and get really bored, let me know and ill buy you some pretty yarn and you can make my cat a sweater lol..she only weighs 2 pounds, so it would be easy..but i cant even crochet a straight chain anymore, so i cant do it myself =[
