The artist known as Notorious Young Caprice aka NYC, was born Jonathan J. Vaughn April 25th 1989 in Los Angeles California. The 22 year old rapper song writer is an Orange County and LA native and has spent the last 4 years making music patiently and diligently with his producer Ruben " Jigga" Pinto in hopes of making a name for themselves in the music industry and possibly changing the world with their music. Caprice has a unique style completely his own. He has a sound that is derived from his years as a young dancer growing up, which exposed him to many different music genres. Along with his west coast culture and background, Caprice has a high interest in east coast hip hop. Many have seen his talents live and can feel his passion, energy, and soul in their presence. Being from the west coast his music has been over looked and sometimes looked upon as non traditional. I guess you can say some people just aren't ready for change. Despite his troubles with the law, dropping out of school, fighting drug addiction, being homeless, and recently becoming a father, nothing has stopped or discouraged the young artist from pursuing his dreams, and following his love for music. Caprice falls into the line up of young artists out today, such as J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Wale, Corey Gunz, Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj, Nipsey Hussle, and Big Sean. There is no doubt that NYC has the presence and future of a legend himself. The depth of his music and lyrical stature are sure to take his gifts to the next level. His dedication and determination for the craft of hip hop show much promise. Only time can tell whether or not he will truly become the next best rapper alive. -
