Calls From Home from Little Rock, Ar modestly began forming at Williams Baptist College in northeast Arkansas under the name Cash Hall. It doesnt take a degree to figure out the origin of their first alias nor do you need to guess they began as just another campus worship band. In the beginning, the band had a very raw acoustic sound, but that wouldn't last for long.
Leading over 30,000 students in worship over their first two years, Cash Hall started to gain momentum while recording and releasing the independent album Facedown. I still get calls from friends in Little Rock saying that they just heard Sheltered on the radio says bassist Chuck Miller II about the bands first airplay.
Our second recording the Lessons Learned EP was the first attempt at moving from praise and worship to an original rock sound. It is a perfect picture of where we were in our songwriting right in the middle of worship and rock. -Chuck Miller(Bassist)
Further abandoning the coffee shop timbre, the group next recorded a live performance EP. It was more than just a stepping stone. It was a project that summoned our will to be a rock band and reach that specific group of kids with the Gospel. - Stuart Springer (Vocalist/Guitarist)
After several lineup changes, the band felt the need to start fresh with a new name that reflected the new band, and so, Calls From Home was born. With drummer Ryan Malone and vocalist/guitarist Stuart Springer on board, the group came together to write and record their first full-length album, "We Could Keep Silent". This was the band's first experience working with producer Jason Burkum. (Audio Adrenaline, Kids in the Way)
The thunderous intro to Hold On, their first national single, set the tone for the entire album and the group sold thousands of copies of their debut independent release.
Currently, after undergoing yet another lineup change, the group is writing material for their next release which will go back to their roots to include some original worship songs. Look for their next release in Fall of 2008!

ok so this may be a really stupid question, but did Calls From Home break up?? cuz thats what i heard from someone a long time ago and it bummed me out cuz you guys were one of my favorite bands ever! lol i hope to hear more of your music if its not true! :D
Heard you guys were going to be putting an album out in Fall 08 and I was just wondering if you guys had an update on if it's been released or not, cuz I'd like to get it if it's out. Thanks.

Ok, so I talked to the main character of the story and she said that even though it might just kill her to be patient any longer she will keep trying =) And thanks for the word of advice. I will try my hardest to stay away from those Crazy, trouble making college boys and will beat them up if they even walk by to close. How does that sound? I have become a ferocious beast.
There once was a girl named Abi who went to see a band play in the winter of 2004. The girl ended up loving the music and decided to keep coming back to ALL the shows in driving distance of her house. the first show she met a guy who's name was Chuck. He seemed pretty cool then he introduced us to Stuart who was also really fun. And then he introduced us to Ryan and…well you get the picture. So Abi memorized all the lyrics to the band’s music and got to know the band members and she was happy. Then something terrible happened. Just like in the song American Pie, “The music died.” The girl was sad that her favorite band was no more and that she didn’t get to see her friends anymore. Two years passed with only a short conversation with them every now and then but someday the girl wishes to see them once again and become happy again…
Are you for real! there is going to be a 2008 release! oh my gosh like for real that just made my day. does that mean that you are going on tour again???
