Myself... as you may have discovered by listening, I sing and write a variety of styles. I truly prefer rock more such as "How Did I Miss You." I hold true to my individual style.
I grew up in the small town of Monrovia, Indiana surrounded by cows and cornfields. When I was 14 years old, I met my now husband of 12 years on a sand volleyball court at a nearby public pool. I got married to him as soon as I turned 18 since he lived away in the Air Force, so then I lived on Shaw AFB, SC. We've moved several times, but are back here in Indy. We have 3 special and unique kids now too.
Since I can remember, I have always been passionate about music through instruments and voice. Unfortunately I gave up singing for a long time though after a lady in our small church told me I needed to sing quieter because I was too loud. I loved the stage! I wanted to be the center of attention in most circumstances until my innocence was unexpectantly and continuously ripped away from me at an early age.
I am a SURVIVOR of abuse.
This sucked me dry for quite some time and left me feeling shamed. I felt like a waste of space disconnected from the world and without identity. I hid that, as well as the abuse from almost everyone. This led to depression, drugs, alcohol abuse, self injury and thoughts of suicide as time passed by. Eventually, I got sick of hiding and decided to fight and give into my God given passions and gifts.
When I first sang again as an adult, my family (including my brother who had his head burried from anticipated horror) thought the background tape was on the wrong side and that it was the original performer...I've never hidden my voice since. God keeps letting me use it, and has since allowed me to continue writing lyrics from my heart. Through my life's experiences I am able to share His hope, love, mercy and grace through all circumstances.
I know what it feels like to be stripped and broken, only to have God's promises to rely on until each days' end. I decided though that my past does not define my future. God defines me and I thank Him for allowing me the opportunity to wake-up and see this beautiful reality! Even though I still mess up by trying my own way again at times, He's always there to remind me of his unconditional love!
I can honestly say that I enjoy life and people now and hope to be around for many more years to come! I'm looking forward to my hut on the beach in Heaven though too (who needs a mansion ;-)!
life is all about changes; you have to learn to improvise when it doesn't go according to plan. Sometimes we have to be the ones to implement changes in our lives in order to find something better than what we left behind in our past. If it's one thing I've learned on my journey of healing, it's that just because we may be traveling on one road doesn't mean it's the one that will take us to where we need to be. To get to where we want to be in life, sometimes we have to change roads and travel down a new path that will lead us there. As long as we remain focused in the work we are doing and believe in ourselves, as long as we keep a fighting spirit and positive attitude along with an open mind, then we will continue to advance even further in life, finding all sorts of opportunities waiting for us. But we'll never know what is out there waiting for us if we don't take the first step to getting out there and making something our lives as we rebuild them piece by piece.

Not very often since most of my computer time is at work. Usually there are a few downloads of each movie and some are better quality than others.
I reserved a copy of the DVD at B&N. I'd like to buy one from Hot Topic because theirs are supposed to have movie cells in them. There will be a big release party. Maybe we could go?
I'd love to get together again. We'll just have to tell the boys to get it worked out!
