Hosting;OPEN MIC Mondays the myspace/thesingersongwritercircle and myspace/acousticsanonymous. Sharing my love of live music by being free and trying to get venues to provide something for the artists. The best example of this is 'sing for your supper' which has returned sing4yoursupperfriday on here. Check out my open mic category for other nights.
  • Music

Listed it would sound terrible, I remember and love the motown and reggae my oldest brother played, same goes for the ska and twotone my middle brother played. My first concert was Adam and the Antz. I knew all the words to madness' 'One Step Beyond' and all of Kid Creole's first album. Then i left pop and went to blues parties with my friends in South London and I stuck to the wall with some of the best sound systems in London; King tubby's, Saxon, Coxone I did once go on the mic and 'toast' I think i got caught up in Simply Red and Sade when i worked for an advertising company in the early eighties. Thank god i found Acid hous in '88 and stayed with it for ...ten years maybe?! Along the way i have been stunned by the beauty of classical; Rachmaninov, Prokoviev, et al(famous only) and the quiet passion of jazz.

Carl, thanks for the two superb opportunities.  Loved the Nine Bar gig and the SingForYourSupper open mic.  Both had great atmosphere, and totally different kinds - except for your enthusiasm running through both!

Thanx. I did enjoy all the good music on Friday and Louis had a good time too. If you really want to get together to do something other than work, you know where to find me! I've been back for a while! Also, it's good to see things going well for you, at least in the work front. Glad to think that all my hard work with Sing for Your Supper, since it started all those months ago, might in any way have helped it get to where it is now. Yes, I was away for a while, but I'm back now! xxx
