Calm. Its a state of mind.
The word conjures up images of blue skies, quiet contemplation and inner peace. Not exactly apt words to describe Swedish insano-metal crew Calm, which consists of six madmen and an elephant. Makes you wonder whats really in a name?
Since their inception in 1997, Calm have been tearing it up with their own brand of psych ward metal, and have garnered a large following in the process. They have shared a stage with Swedish hardcore giants like Refused and Nine, and have appeared on compilations alongside Isis and Turmoil.
In 2006, Calm are recording their second full-length. Strengthened by the arrival of new guitarist Johan Magnusson, formerly of Carnal Forge and Construcdead, they have moved further along the path started on their 2003 debut are we supposed to be and are taking the madness to whole new levels.
