FULLY FLARED Portland Premiere
Alright everyone,This is ridiculously last minute but we will be premiering the new Lakai video "Fully Flared" tomorrow night Dec. 6th at 7:30pm here at the Dept. We started trying to set this premiere up 6 months ago but since all you goofs always put everything up on Youtube the guys at Girl and Lakai refused to send out any premiere copies. It makes it really difficult to rent a venue for a premiere if you don't know when the video is actually going to be out so we ended up just doing it here. We will have a limited of copies available for sale directly after the movie so make sure to bring some loot because this video is a must have. The premiere is FREE to watch so tell all your cheapskate friends to come with you. Trust us, this video is sick and is even sicker with a packed house so make sure to tell everyone you know.See everyone tomorrow night!!Also, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for a special project Cal's Pharmacy did with Lakai. They should be arriving within the week and will be oozing with Portland Pride.Stay tuned... -
Michael Sieben and Nat Swope art show this Sat. Dec. 1st
Hi there!
I am proud and excited to share with you the show we have coming up at
Cal's Pharmacy this Saturday night:
'Forever and Never'
A collaborative print project by Michael Sieben and Nat Swope.
Opening Reception: Saturday Dec. 1st, 7pm-10pm
Show hangs through Dec. 31st.
Cal's Pharmacy: 11 NE Hancock St. / Portland, Or 97212 / PH:
503-233-1237
Michael Sieben hails from Austin Texas and has shown his signature,
often comical characters and depictions of middle Americana in
galleries around the world while at the same time, producing artwork
and collaborations with the likes of Thrasher Magazine and Bueno
Skateboards. For this project, Michael has teamed up with his good
friend Nat Swope of Bloom Press to create a body of limited edition
prints solely for this show. Nat and his Bloom Press operation are
located in San Fransisco and have earned a reputation as one of the top
screen printers in the art print world. Best part is, since this show
is at a skate shop, Michael and Nat have decided to keep the prints
very affordable (we are talking the $25-$50 range -normally their work
demands a much higher price, so don't miss out on this rare opportunity
-and thanks for the hook up guys!!!).
Oh, and Michael has also done a limited edition Pharmacy t-shirt to go
with the show as well!
For more samples of Michael and Nat's respective works, please visit:

Thanks and see you there!
