    Calum Alex Macmillan was born and brought up on the Isle of Lewis. From an early age he was surrounded my Gaelic song and traditional music, his father Seonaidh being the lead singer in the Gaelic folk group 'The Lochies'. At the age of 18 he won the Mod Gold Medal and he also went on to win the Traditional Gold Medal and the prestigious 'Seann Nós' competition at the Pan Celtic Festival. Having completed his studies at Aberdeen University he is now employed as a Gaelic Development Manager with Fèisean nan Gàidheal, based in Inverness. 2005 saw the release of his highly successful debut album, 'Tàladh nan Cuantan'. SInce then he went on to perform and record with the Gaelic supergroup 'Daimh' performing at festivals and concerts across Europe and releasing two albums - Crossing Point and Diversions. Calum is also a member of the Male voice Gaelic lads collection Na Seoid who performed far and wide and released an exceptionally popular self-titled album.
