Calvimetro was born not too long ago, when my lovely wife Libania tryed to find a nickname for me. I've been into music and mainly percussion since i can think and managed to make it my life, love and profession. Working worldwide with bands and artist of such different styles like "Die Fantastischen Vier","Orange Blue","Sasha", "Sarah Brightman","Gregorian","Curse","Peter Maffay" or "Till Brönner" i've always tryed to remain myself and give a very personal input to any style of music. In Cuba fell in love with the variety of culture and rhythms alongside - the connection of drums, dance and chants, swapping over from Africa, blended with spanish, french and portugues influences.(What a cocktail!?) That's where music comes from. Eversince my favourite music is anything having to do with cuban music. Me gusta! But what i love most is, that you can feel it within many styles of modern music. Apart from that i basicly enjoy any kind of goooood music! With calvimetro a.k.a. Rolands Rumba i try to express my faible for cultural and musical clashes - always in a harmonic resolution por su puesto!
